Communications and Technology Division
The Communications and Technology Division of the Sheriff’s Office is responsible for keeping operational the 911 emergency system, and computer, radio and telephone systems of the department.

Col. Gerald Rathburn, a 23-year veteran of the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office who worked in private business before joining the department, commands the Communications and Technology Division. He also heads the sheriff’s Reserve and Equipment divisions.
